We install backups on ALL of our systems because people always save stuff to their desktops & documents instead of saving to server mapped drives. When a hard drive fails, that data is gone or pay upwards of $1500 to get it back from a data recovery company. So a little prevention now saves time, headaches and money later. But this approach also helps against Cryptolocker because we have many versions stored onsite and in the cloud. Cryptolocker is the only thing that scares us in the IT world today. This is why we are so proactive with our backup system on our client systems!
People never think about backups until it's too late, which is the reason we do it from the initial new client onboarding.
Servers
Every Server gets an image backup and it takes snapshots every 2 hours (we can go more if needed) and it's saved to a local BDR server and then saved offsite in a S3 compliant redundant storage center. We can then do a Bare Metal Restore (BMR) or we can move it over to VMware ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V virtual machine.

Office 365 or Google Workspace Email Backup
We can backup your company's email systems in case of a disgruntled employee deletes everything before they leave or if a hacker gets in and erases peoples mailboxes.
Office 365 Backup Features
Microsoft Office 365 to experience the following benefits:
Perform Office 365 mail backups online using 256-bit AES encryption. You can also protect contacts, calendars, OneDrive files, and other data.
Recover individual emails using item-level recovery.
Maintain cloud storage space by using Retention Policies, allowing you to automatically purge unnecessary data.
Google Workspace Features
Google allows third-party tools to be integrated with your corporate G Suite account, so you will get the new apps along with Google Docs, Spreadsheets, etc. The key point here is that you still don’t need to use classic (physical) infrastructure since all G Suite-integrated apps are cloud-based.
Here are the benefits of this approach:
No need to implement storage infrastructure. All you need is to integrate our solution with your existing G Suite cloud and add an external cloud storage in the backup preferences.
Faster recovery, since the data stored in the restore-optimized format with use of fast cloud storage and high-speed network connection to G Suite cloud.
Retention policies and data encryption are available right out of the box.
When choosing a long-term backup/archival strategy, it is a good idea to store the backups outside of Google Cloud. Or even spread the backups across several independent cloud storage providers to keep the data safe in case of any disaster.
